For me, coming to Bounce Back isn’t just about improving my fitness, it’s about getting out in the fresh air with friendly faces who ‘get it’ and who welcome all babies, screaming or otherwise. It’s about surprising myself by completing a workout I never would have attempted on my own. I love having a great reason to bundle up baby and leave the house so I can start my day full of energy, despite a serious lack of sleep!

I have absolutely loved my time at bounce back, the trainers are fantastic in that they push you to achieve your personal goals so it’s not a one size fits all. You get to work out in the outdoors with other lovely local mums, which has become a great support for me & made some great friendships. It’s just what you need after having a baby! Initially I had thought being a mums & bubs group the trainer would be light touch or easy.. this is not the case it’s a good solid workout with results. I would highly recommend for any new mum to try it out. I can’t wait to get back into it after my second Bub in a couple of weeks. I’ve missed the bounce back family.

After having two kids and feeling the need to de-stress, be healthy, strong and take a bit of me time I contacted Joan about learning how to run. I was pretty sceptical at first, but I found Joan’s approach and style fantastic. Not only did she give me advice on shoes, stretching and a ‘foot doctor’, she also completely changed my running style so that I was much more efficient and wasn’t loading my body in all the wrong places.

After only a few short weeks, I was able to run at a consistent pace, building up distance and all completely pain free. I actually enjoyed running again. She has a great way of breaking down running into small bite-sized chunks making it easy to pick up and provide great encouragement and advice along the way.
